Hello! Welcome to The Waz Kitchen Chronicles: )

I never know how to start these things.  How do I introduce you, the reader, to my blog?  Do I tell you all about my philosophy on food?  Do I prattle on for a couple lengthy paragraphs about myself, my history and who I am?  Eh. . .I would just rather type out pretty much exactly what my brain is thinking and just let you muddle through the ensuing craziness.  Yeah, that sounds like a good idea: )

FYI:  If you hate people that use smiley faces a lot, you probably shouldn't read this blog. . .: ) I'm a smiley person, I have no intention of hiding that.

What I would like readers of this blog to know is why I am writing it.  I am writing this blog because a) I would like to share my passion for cooking with others, b)  I need a new hobby while my husband is out of town for 14 weeks and c) my oldest (and bestest) friend Lindsay really, really wants me to.  It would also be awesome if I could help some people feel more confident in their own cooking skills along the way.

So how do I really feel about food?  It's simple.  Food is more than just fuel.  It is something that should be satisfying for a person's whole being.  Food is a creative and flexible medium, one that you can not only make works of art with, but one you can also make people happy with.  Love is absolutely an essential ingredient in every dish I make.  When you cook love into food, people can feel it.  What is better than making someone feel comforted, happy and loved?  I can't think of anything. . .this is why I cook and why I love food.

Well, I hope this introduction hasn't scared you off.  I cannot, with any certainty, say that my blogs should get progressively better.  My grammar is okay, but sometimes I am lazy.  My photography skills are mediocre at best.  I often forget to even take pictures.  Oh, and I tend to ramble a lot.  However, if you can wade through the murky waters of my mind and the bad photography, you just might be rewarded with tips on how to cook and how to love doing it: )  Good day, fair gentles and happy reading!
